COMMUNITY LIAISONS / SOCIAL WORKERS
D12 Social Workers/Community Liaisons offer the Cheyenne Mountain School District Community a broad range of support services that empower students to be academically successful by addressing barriers that are not academic in nature. These include serving as:
-
Mental Health Professionals - working with students to provide short-term mental health support, assist with conflict resolution and other social-emotional needs, communicate with outside providers, consult with other District personnel in support of students, and promote mental wellness.
-
Community Liaisons - connecting families to community-based resources to support a myriad of needs including housing, medical, mental health, and food insecurities, among others.
-
Crisis Team Members - prevention, response, and intervention within building and at the District-level.
Families needing assistance are encouraged to contact the social workers directly.
