Most events for colleges and universities have transitioned to online formats due to COVID-19 restrictions and concerns, but there may be some in-person opportunities available depending on the school and location.

University of Chicago Virtual Events

Dates: Month of September, 2020

Description: Throughout the month of September, the university will host a variety of virtual information sessions with topics to include admissions information, campus tours, an essay writing workshop, student life and academics, and MORE!

Discovering U Information Sessions with Columbia, University of Chicago, University of Texas at Austin, University of Michigan, & Yale

Dates: September and October 2020

Description: Join Columbia University, the University of Chicago, the University of Texas at Austin, the University of Michigan, and Yale University to discover the exceptional opportunities our schools have to offer!

The college admissions process is an opportunity to reflect on your many options for the future. Whether you imagine yourself studying in a city, a suburb, or in a rural area; at a large, public university or a smaller, private school; or cheering on your favorite team or sleeping in on game day, you can learn about the features that will make your future college home a perfect fit for you! University of Southern California Virtual Visit

Dates: September 21, 2020, 6 PM MDT

Description: USC representative Kelsey Bradshaw Carroll is hosting a virtual information session. She works with students from Cheyenne Mountain High School as an admission counselor for the University of Southern California. In trying to reach students in this environment, there may be attendees from more than one school in this visit.

University of Notre Dame, Washington University in St. Louis, Johns Hopkins University, and Emory University Virtual Program for Students

Date/Time: September 22, 2020, 6 - 7 pm MDT

Description: Our consortium group wanted to visit your region this fall and host group presentations. While our ability to be physically with you has changed, we have worked diligently to provide a virtual group presentation instead. We hope these provide opportunities for students to learn more about us as they embark on their college search journey! Because this is still a relatively new format for us - and possibly for you, too - here are a few notes:

  • NWHE virtual events are live, not prerecorded.
  • We will take questions live. However, you can also submit questions ahead of time on your registration form, and the representatives will do their best to answer them through the session content.
  • Each admission officer will share about their institution for a few minutes before responding to live and pre-submitted questions.

Davidson Admission Intensive Series

Dates: September and October 2020

Description:Join the Davidson College Admission Staff and other admission professionals this fall for a workshops series to help prepare you for the college search and application process.  Sessions will cover topics ranging from essay writing to interview preparation to making the most of virtual college visits.  All workshops are free but space is limited in some sessions.

Monday College Knowledge Webinar Series

Dates: September and October 2020

Description:  Representatives from Dickerson College, Miami University (OH), Salve Regina University. University of New Mexico, and University of Delaware have teamed up to produce an engaging six-part educational program aimed to help seniors be more effective and efficient in their college search and application process. These webinars are free and open to all Class of 2021 high school students.

Each session will feature:

  • An engaging 30-40 minute presentation highlighting the topic of the week

  • An interactive, fillable PDF workbook which provides structure and guidance during each individual session, which includes suggested pre-work, supplementary activities and resources, helping to build proficiency and understanding of the topic

  • 10-15 minutes of "Ask the Experts" Q&A following the presentation

Based on Zoom technology capabilities, all sessions will be limited to 300 participants  and we encourage those interested to sign up quickly. Students can register for any session(s) that appeals to them and do not need to commit to every week.

Catholic College Admission Association College Fair

Dates: September 29, 2020, 5:30 - 7:30 MDT

Description: Over 100 of our Catholic colleges and universities are participating in this free event. Please note student registration is required to participate in the fair. Only one registration per student, please.

Colorado Council Virtual College Fair

Date: October 5-9, 2020

Description: The Virtual College Fair Week will be FREE to students and their families.  This is the week before Colorado Free Application Day on October 13 to allow students to get information to help them decide or get assistance with their applications. Over 60 colleges and universities are registered so far including 21 in-state institutions. Registration:  To encourage students to register and attend they will be raffling off FIVE separate $500 scholarships for students who register to attend the virtual fair. UCLA Virtual fall Open House

Dates: October 5 - 10, 2020

Description: This event is for students and their families to have an opportunity to learn more about admission, financial aid, academic programs, resources and student life at UCLA.

NACAC Virtual College Fairs

Dates: October 12, October 18, and November 8, 2020

Description: The National Association for College Admission Counseling will host several virtual college fairs this fall featuring colleges and university representatives from all over the country and the world. in September, October, and November.

University of Denver Virtual Open House

Dates: October 12 - 17, 2020

Description: DU is excited to showcase everything their amazing university has to offer, and they want you to experience it for yourselves in this virtual world. Make sure to peruse their virtual visit options prior to Open House week as well – they’re currently hosting information sessions with admission staff and students, webinars on campus departments and various college-ready topics, and “talking tours” with DU students. They want to do everything they can to ensure you get to know them a little better, find out the answers to your questions, and learn what it means to be a DU student.

Meet Your Tufts Admissions Counselor for Colorado

Dates: October 15, 2020, 5 PM MDT

Description: Tufts admissions counselors will host regional virtual information sessions throughout the fall. These sessions will offer opportunities to learn about Tufts, ask questions, and "meet" an admissions counselor who covers your region. If you cannot make the date(s) for your region, feel free to register for a nearby region.

Coalition Virtual College Fairs

Date: October 21 - 22 and November 4 - 5, 2020

Description: This event features more than 100 colleges and universities ready to share information about their schools and answer your questions. Hosted by the Coalition for College, this fair features schools that meet the organization's affordability and student success criteria, making them smart college choices.

Description: Preview Days are events designed to give you a glimpse into life at Western and will include the following presentations and sessions hosted via Zoom:
