AP & CU Succeed Information
The CU Succeed program is a joint venture between Colorado high schools and the University of Colorado. The program allows students an opportunity to gain exposure to the college experience by taking college-level courses at their high school. Students enroll in the University of Colorado courses, located at their high school, taught by qualified teachers, at a reduced rate.
- All CU Succeed courses at CMHS are approved by Course, not by instructor!
Advanced Placement courses are courses offered by the College Board. These courses have a set curriculum and offer a test at the end of every year in which students are graded on a 1 - 5 scale. Scores of 3, 4, or 5 can often be used to waive classes at many higher education institutions in the United States and globally.
On Thursday, February 3rd Mrs. Brenner and Mrs. Kutsner recorded a presentation about our AP and CU Succeed offerings at CMHS. Please see the resources below to access information regarding these programs:

COLLEGE & CAREER EXPLORATION PLATFORM
We are excited to announce a huge improvement in our students' college planning experience as we transition to using an amazing new data-driven platform called Cialfo.
What does Cialfo mean and why are we switching? Cialfo (see-al-fo) is short for Citius Altius Fortius, which in Latin stands for Faster Higher Stronger. After a lot of research on various platforms, we concluded that Cialfo would offer an updated and improved experience for the college and career exploration process throughout high school.
CMHS students may click on link below to access CMHS Cialfo website login page and utilize the "Login with Google" feature using your CMHS email account:

COLLEGE PLANNING
College and university admission is an important priority for the majority of Cheyenne Mountain High School students. To meet this need, the college counseling staff provides a variety of services and resources.
College visits at Cheyenne Mountain High School and College Fairs in Colorado Springs: Students are encouraged to meet over 100 representatives who visit the campus annually. Students sign up to attend these campus visits by logging in to their Cialfo account. Cheyenne Mountain students are invited to attend several locally held college fairs throughout the school year. Students can learn about these college fairs by visiting the College Services web pages and logging into their Cialfo accounts.
Cialfo is a web-based college planning service available to all students at Cheyenne Mountain High School. It is an information tool that allows students to sign up for college visits at CMHS, perform college searches, research college matches, build a resume of activities and awards, take a career interest inventory, research careers, link to helpful college planning websites, and stay informed about the college planning process. Helpful college planning websites are posted on the College Services web pages and the student's Cialfo account.
Students and parents are encouraged to begin the college search process early. It is not just an activity for the senior year. Good planning leads to good decision making throughout the high school years.
