“Intelligence plus character-that is the goal of true education.

― Martin Luther King Jr.

Cheyenne Mountain is a school that provides a true education by building strong student, teacher, parent and community relationships that ensures our students graduate with the ability to think, a desire to learn, and the willingness to become a contributing member of society.  We have a rich history of academic excellence, which has been earned by maintaining high standards and expectations for all students and staff and by providing focused curricula that are academically rigorous, engaging, and aligned to the state standards.

Our strong academic success is supported and enhanced by our numerous sports teams, volunteer organizations, and clubs.  The Student and Teachers Aiding Humanity Club, National Honor Society and the Interact Club all provide hours of meaningful and helpful community support. Student Council, DECA, and Speech and Debate expose students to real world situations that strengthen their understanding of concepts taught.  Our sports teams have won numerous district and state titles, but more importantly, they provide challenges where students can develop physically and gain valuable experience working as part of a team.  And finally, many students choose to grow through our award winning bands, vocal music, drama, and art programs.

We are truly fortunate to have such wonderful support from our parent community.  The Parent Teacher Organization, Boosters, School Accountability and Accreditation Committee and numerous other parents who volunteer to support many other activities provide an essential school and parent partnership that is critical to our success.

Cheyenne Mountain is a school of excellence because of the support we enjoy from the community, our teachers’ dedication to ensuring all students have the opportunity to learn, and to our students’ desire to excel.  I am excited to be part of such an excellent community and to have the opportunity to work with so many dedicated people.
