During Colorado’s response to the COVID-19 pandemic, children and staff who have been exposed to a positive case or who have symptoms consistent with COVID-19 listed below, must follow the Guidance for Cases and Outbreaks in Child Care and Schools.

Just a reminder that ill students should stay home.  A student will be sent home with any new symptom onset of illness that falls into the COVID-19 symptoms list:  fever, loss of taste or smell, cough, difficulty with breathing, sore throat, runny nose, congestion, muscle or body aches, headache, fatigue, nausea, vomiting or diarrhea. An individual with a positive case of COVID-19 will need to isolate for 10 days from onset of symptoms of the test date if asymptomatic. District 12 will be working with El Paso County Health Department in accordance to local and state guidelines.

Did your child get the Covid-19 vaccine?

Pediatricians and other medical experts say it's important for kids to get the vaccine. The Pfizer vaccine has been approved for anyone who is 5 years of age and older.  The booster has been approved for those 16 years and up.

Please email me or send in a copy of the completed vaccination card for your child’s immunization and Vaccine records to be updated.
